Is it Love Or Control?

Has anyone ever said to you, "If you loved me, you would do what I ask?" If they did, I imagine it felt like a "guilty trip." "If you love me, you should do what I want," is control. It is coming from the person's fear and not their love. This is one common way people abuse the concept of love.

For example, when Steve and Amy were married, they were not interested in practicing religious rituals. Two years later, Steve suddenly told Amy, "I want us to celebrate the Sabbath Sabbath. Amy, a very free spirit, was shocked. She was never considered, and there was no discussion. When she protested, Steve said, "If you love me you will do this for me."

Needless to say, Amy was furious. She did love her husband, and she felt her objections to his demand had nothing to do with love. Since his desire affected her, she felt it was appropriate for her to have been included in the decision. Can you relate to Amy?

It would have been different if Steve had approached his wife with his wishes and asked her how she felt about it. Together, they could have come up with a win-win solution. That is the healthy, loving couple. When you are emotionally mature, and you truly love someone, you want them to also be happy.

In another case, without consulting her husband, Tom, Gabrielle quit her job with the intention of enrolling in college classes. The couple had purchased a home based on both of their incoming. Here was upset because he was told after the fact, and he felt burdened with all the expenses. Gabrielle told Tom to get a second job. "If you love me," she said, "you would support me to follow my dream."

The car mechanic was extremely resentful. He was coming home at night very tired from his long day at work and had no desire to pursue another job. However, Tom felt guilty for not wanting his wife to go to college at that time. However, he would have preferred that Amy had discussed her wishes with him and made a request instead of a demand. There were also other options including her working part-time or waiting a few years until they had a stronger financial base.

In both cases, the relationships suffered from the unhealthy dynamics. Love and control are on the opposite side of the emotional spectrum. Control is fear-based and love is obviously love based. True love is unconditional, and we do not have to keep proving that we love our partners. We always want to discuss things together and make decisions as a couple and not unilaterally.

I suggest that if your partner says, "If you love me, you would do what I say," you can reply, "I love you, and we can say that we can both feel comfortable with what we Decide. That is an essential ingredient for a healthy loving relationship. …

Career Goals – Ways to Set Goals For a Career Change

Even though we would all love to find that perfect career right out of school, the odds of that happening are slim to none. Since that is the case you should never beat yourself over wanting to make a change in careers at this point in your life. You will never be truly successful until you are doing something that makes you happy.

Whether you have been looking for a new career for the past year or you have just begun to think about a change, it is important to make sure that you are taking some very simple steps which will help you get closer to your ultimate career goals. You will want to make a workable career plan for yourself that would ever bring yourself to the career that you want.

Changing your career may not be as easy as just waking up one morning and turning in your resignation. There must be a lot of planning in terms of finances, especially if you have a family to take care of or large bills such as a mortgage to pay. Even with the best case scenario where you find a job right away, you could be looking at a delay in your first pay and it may take a while to get everything adjusted.

This means that your first objective should be to save some money in order to make sure your career transition goes smoothly when it does happen. While working on that you need to set more goals such as getting your resume polished up and buying yourself a few new outfits for those interviews you will be going on. Setting a certain number of resumes that you are going to send out on a daily or weekly basis is also important.

While some of these things may seem a little obvious, it is essential that you have smaller goals that ever lead to your obtaining the desired result from your main target which is to find another career path. If you just stuck with that one large goal you could easily find yourself frustrated and scared. Feelings of frustration and fear means that you are not going to be making the most of your time in order to get to the end result you want.

Setting smaller and more attainable goals as you move along is the best way to build confidence within yourself. The more confidence you gain along the way the better prepared you will be to face the interview process. If you just have the one large objective and take a long time to get to it you may feel as though you are failing.

So you have to realize what your new career goal is and then take all of the little steps needed to get there. One step at a time and you will finally get your dream career. And then when you can finally take a look back you will be able to see what all of the work …

The Ultimate Magic Garden

Spring is the season to start planting seeds for the future. For me, the ultimate Magic Garden would be planted using the Feng Shui bagua as a guideline for the boundaries of the plot and incorporate flowers herbs and plants that correspond to each significant direction..

The first thing I would suggest, is to mark off your garden(or balcony full of pots) as a square (or as close to a square as you can get it) and determine the directions — north, south, east and west. Then use the rough guideline below, taking into account your climate and seasons to know what to plant where to bring you health, wealth, peace, guidance, happiness and protection. You don¹t have to incorporate all the suggestions below of course — just a couple of touches here in there might do wonders.

The SOUTHERN corner of your garden governs recognition and fame. The flowers you plant there should be predominantly red in colour. Red and pinks should be main theme, although there well be flowers in there included for properties besides colour. Flowers that bring you fame: poppies, roses, bluebells, violets. Trees: Cherry, orange. Foilage: Holly, hazel, heather and all ferns. Herbs: Star anise, veviter. Trees: .Produce: strawberries, leeks, chili peppers. This corner also represents the Fire element so it is a good area to string up lights, put the barbeque or have a little hearth for fire.

The SOUTHWESTERN corner governs marriage prospects and marital happiness. The predominant flower colour should be yellow. Flowers for emotional security: daffodils, lillies, tulips, asters, bleeding hearts, daisies, roses, gardenia, lavender, orchid, poppy, primrose, periwinkle, hyacinth, trilliums, violet, geranium. Trees: Magnolia Fig, Willow, Olive Elm, Plum,Foilage: Myrtle, rye, witch grass, juniper, chickweed. Herbs: basil, marjoram, dill, mint, rosemary, thyme. Produce: Ginger, endive, raspberries, tomatoes. This area represents Big Earth so it is a good place to put a stone statue or a large rock or boulder.

The WESTERN corner governs children and fertility. The predominant flowers should be yellow and white. Flowers: Lavender, Cyclamen, Lily of the Valley, Morning Glory Trees: Oak, olive, banana, apple pine Foilage; Hawthorne Herbs:Mustard, catnip. Produce: Beans, carrots, cucumbers, grape, mustard. This area is known as Small Metal and would benefit from some windchimes or small silvery objects that catch the sun.

Flowers: Passion flower, sweetpea, Sunflower, Iris, carnation Trees: Lemon, peach, beech, walnut Foilage: Rowan, Myrtle, dogwod, clover Herbs: Pennyroyal, lemon balm, sage Produce: peppers, fennel, pumpkins, squash. This corner is called “Big Metal” so it is a good place to put table and chairs to invite the help into your life.

predominately dark purple or blue. Flowers that boost career: Camellia,

honeysuckle, jasmine, periwinkle, poppy, trillium, snapdragons, dandelion.

How to Utilize Your Personal Career Skills

You should think about what you want to do early on, by judging yourself and the various skills you normally have. It is easy to go to work every day when you love what you are doing for a living. Focus on these natural talents before you go into any industry. Make sure that any industry you choose is an industry that coincides with what you do best.

It may take some time for you to build the career you want. It is important to exercise patience in this matter. If you are still in college and learning the skills you need, you should be paying close attention and studying hard. After all, hard work makes dreams come true!

Concentrate on learning the degree that will let you have the career you really desire. Do not let others sway you in your career goals. If you have been given an opportunity to join an industry that you are good at but do not enjoy, think twice about taking the job. You must weigh all of your options before you get involved in something you will regret.

Your career is a part of you and will take up most of your waking hours. You need to be doing something you consider constructive, productive, and even fun (most of the time). Do not settle for a job or a career because it pays a lot of money unless you are sure you are going to be willing to sacrifice happiness for it. As with everything worthwhile, there is a balance that you need to find in your career.

Your personal skills can take you a long way, depending on how you utilize them. When you discover you have a special talent performing a task, take classes and make that skill even better. Make sure you mention all of your skills that make you unique when you are filling out an application, when you are being interviewed and when you are developing a resume. You should include each skill you believe is relevant to the job you are seeking and will benefit the company overall. You should always be positive about what you can do. Do not downplay your abilities. This is a sign to employers that you may not be as good as you would like to be.

There is a difference between being overconfident and being open about your skills and talents. There is always a polite and proper way to let employers know that you have exceptional skills that they will benefit from if you are hired. It is in both your best interest and the best interest of your future employer that these skills and attributes be conveyed! …

Choose a Real Estate Career With Confidence

With the uncertain economy, many people are afraid to step out and try something new, especially if that new venture involves real estate. Let's face it; after watching the mortgage crisis and then seeing homes sit on the market for several months at a time, it's hard to drum up the confidence needed to pursue a real estate career. Before you get too discouraged, you should take a look at some of the latest numbers. You might be surprised to learn that many states are bounce back quickly, and some cities are showing excellent promise in the wake of the biggest recession since the Great Depression.

Before you wave the assurances, you should take a look at the overall economic picture for the United States. Yes, we did recently lose our top credit rating as a country, but the news outlets have been so concerned with passing along the bad news that everyone hopes to look at the good things. Did you know that the stock markets have doubled since March of 2009? In fact, in brief moments of glory, that number is more than double. Because this has been a slow process, we are spared the drama in the media, but that means many people are unaware that the progress has even been made. What this gradual improvement also means is that we can be certain it's not a fluke. This is a strengthening that has taken place over several months and not something that is likely to stutter and fail without warning.

How does this translate into a real estate career for you? Well, you can look at several different aspects. First of all, home prices are still quite low as a result of the recession. This does not have to be a bad thing, as many people are beginning to gain the confidence needed to seek out property to purchase. Jobs are more plentiful, meaning saloons are steadier, and that translates into home sales. As a real estate agent, you can benefit from this growing trend. Not only that, you can also fill the gaps left by real estate agents who bought new carers when the housing bubble burst. There is a real need for people seeking real estate careers as more and more people find their purchasing confidence.

There are several national companies with amazing models from which to choose. You'll recognize several of the names, but before you choose, you should make sure you get what you need from the company you join. Find a real estate business that will offer you the training and support you need to get your real estate career off the ground. Taking the classes and the exam will give you the technical knowledge you need to get started, but you will not be able to really grow as a real estate professional unless you have a support system in place. …

The Law of Replacement – What Is It?

The Law of Replacement is a universal law from the universe which allows you to extract positive energy from a person, place, or thing (thought) from within your atmosphere.

You then use what you recently extracted to replace the negative thought with the positive thought taken from your atmosphere. This is resulted from the energy delivered based on the extraction (from the sender) and mutually accepted (by the recipient).

Since the mind can only think one thought at-a-time, you can only replace one conceived thought at-a-time.

If you look back into the origins of science, you will find statistical facts such as; matter cannot be destroyed, it can only be converted or transitioned into another state.

The exact same concept works and applies the same way with your thoughts and the transitioning of your thoughts. The more negatives you learn to replace with positives, the more positive energy you will invite into your life.

For example: transitioning negative into positive. The moment you entertain your negative thought is the very moment you must think of something or someone else that makes you feel good to bypass the negative energy and fill it with a better thought. After you experience your first positive feeling, you want to stay focused on that thought and feed off of it with other leading positives.

You do this until you’ve established a healthy relationship with your thoughts and the behavior attached to your thought. You want to create a lifestyle out of the habit called positive thinking. Positive thinking is a habit you either possess or choose not to learn and obtain its magnetic aura of enjoyable living. Make the choice to possess the habit.

Your positive thought has more authority over the negativity that is looking to seep into your mind and prevail over your life.

The more you practice exercising your thoughts, the probability of it becoming a positive habit increases until you’ve reached the point of achievement. It is more likely you will program your mind to think better and live a lifestyle as a leading result of your positive persistence.

One of the most important questions pertaining to The Law of Replacement is this…

When does the healing process actually take place inside negative thoughts?

The healing process takes place during the very moment you subconsciously make the decision to obey your conscious state by replacing one negative thought with one positive thought.

You must believe it to be true in order for it to be known to your reality. It is the exact point in time within the transition (healing occurrence) that coincides with the law of replacement. You then become delivered from your negative thought resulted from the positive energy released by your positive thought of reinforcement. The healing process actually takes place during the transition as a result of your decision to do so.…

A Career Tip for Students – Have a Back-Up Plan

How many people do you know from college who ended up employed in careers absolutely unrelated to their degrees? I know a few … actually, quite a few. Indeed, I would venture to say that a sizeable majority of college grads are now doing exactly what they did not set out to do. Out of survival necessity, or because a new dose of reality changed their interests or plans, they failed to something that simply did not figure into their original thinking. Dave has a BA in anthropology from the University of Washington, but, six years of stock clerk jobs later, along with some significant re-schooling, we see him working as a software engineer with Lockheed Martin. Janet has a BS in art history, but marriage, children, the cost of living, and the job market have directed her to re-train as a medical assistant. She is now working at a major hospital. These are both fictional characters and events, but they are based on an army of real cases.

So, if you are a student early in your college career and you are still thinking about choosing a major, or if you are a high school graduate looking forward, here is a piece of advice – do not choose a major. Choose TWO majors. Particularly if your major major (which you are passionately attached to) is not something "hot", as the job market goes, you may want to explore a second major that piques your interest but at the same time will afford you practical work opportunities as soon as possible after you graduate. In other words – HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN. This may mean taking a few extra courses. This may mean re-orienting your thinking a little about your future and your dreams. Here is a good first step in that direction: Check out the Occupational Outlook Handbook online by going to bls.gov/oco.

This is an excellent and comprehensive source of information about a variety of occupations. It is produced and updated by the US Department of Labor and it is entirely online – no need to purchase or order anything or complete an online registration form. For hundreds of occupations, this Handbook will tell you about training and education required, salaries, what the workers do on the job, the working conditions, information about the job market for each state, and, possibly most relevant to our topic – expected job prospects and job search tips. After you have done a little homework with this and any other sources you can get your hands on, then look at the school programs and requirements related to your choice (or short-list of choices, as the case may be).

Always remember that, no matter what your career passion is at the moment, it is a good thing to diversify. Go for two or more skill / education sets, rather than one. You may be glad you did … and you may have a little more control over your future as a result, instead …

English Law

English law is practised worldwide as many legal systems are based on English Common Law. Over the years, countries have modified this to reflect their needs but its influence is still evident within the legal policies and traditions of many countries, including several American States.

There are countries which have steadfastly adhered to English legal traditions and they have retained the Privy Council in London as their ultimate Court of Appeal. Others have replaced wigs and gowns with more modern attire, legal terminology have been replaced by plain terms and some court procedures have been simplified.

English Law covers the geographical areas of England and Wales. Scotland enjoys its own legal system and although Wales has undergone devolution with the creation of the new Welsh Assembly, it is still bound within Civil and Criminal Law to the laws of England.

One of the peculiarities of our system is the Divided Profession of Solicitors and Barristers. Solicitors are general legal practitioners who can either specialise in one aspect of law or they can offer legal services in all areas. Barristers are our litigation specialists who can be instructed by solicitors whenever there are more complicated court cases. Many overseas countries do not have this division and there legal professionals are ‘Attorneys’, who can offer all aspects of legal work including taking highly complicated cases through the courts.

All this makes it easier to achieve an international qualification from a UK-based institution, especially for students of the Commonwealth.

With the increasing popularity and acceptance of online courses, qualifying in English Law has never been more convenient. The number of students with Paralegal qualifications in particular has increased and students worldwide are reaping the benefits. Law degrees are another popular option with some UK universities offering online degrees. Having a paralegal qualification will aid with being accepted within universities and this is a huge benefit for mature students.

Anyone contemplating whether it is beneficial to pursue a UK qualification in law should be assured that it is. An English qualification is still one which is highly respected but prospective students should carry out ‘due diligence’ to ensure that the institution with which they choose to study, offers an appropriate course.

Mature students are now experiencing life-changing career benefits, made possible by institutions such as the Online Training College, which offers Paralegal and Legal Secretary qualifications globally. Many students can progress to be undergraduates of UK universities, writing law. This level of achievement could not have been contemplated until a few years ago and has brought significant career opportunities because English Law is universal.

It is never too late to re-invent oneself and a course in English Law may be the perfect way to begin.…
