I've been raised to believe in the right and honest way of building a career! In other words, I went to college, I took a full time job with medical insurance and I've started building my way up on the corporate-ladder. The problem was that, after more than two years in which we were a bunch of collections in a cubicle, my career was going now and I became unhappy. I knew I needed a change, but I did not have any glimpse of an idea on what to do.
I was always blessed with the same advice "Do what you like!", "Pursue your talent!" But I was in a mist and found it rather difficult to react. Occasionally, I quit my boring job, I figured out my true calling and now I'm happier than ever. You can be the same! Keep in mind these simple rules and follow your destiny!
Figure out what would you love to do
In many situations, we love to do things that interested us from childhood, when life was a little bit less complicated. For example, if in childhood, you loved to create doll clothes, now you might discover your talent for fashion or tailoring.
Get acquainted with your niche.
Need is the mother of allventions. Although, for artists, designers and writers, the holes in the market represent the mother of creation. You do not find the bed spread you've always dreamed of on the market? Buy yourself a sewing machine and make one! Your friends will eventually see it and will start making orders. That's how design is borne!
Advertise yourself on your own.
I do not suggest wearing a board on yourself on which is written your occupation, but it's very important that when you share information about your business to others, be enthusiastic and show them that you love it. If you create your own purse, wear it with pride and be sure that everyone sees it. Sell it cheaper at the start, to build your own market.
One thing is for certain: you will not be able to manage everything by yourself. Find a mentor or a partner that does something similar to your job. His value will be priceless.
Disregard the pessimists
It's not easy to make the step from employee to employer: there will always be people on the road to success that will constantly try to discourage you. Do not listen to them! Surround yourself with supporters and begin with small steps. If you will not give up after the first year, you've already won half the battle!
